Anti-gun-legislation stance shallow right wing talking points
Ian Caesar’s embrace of the conservative ‘we love guns’ philosophy is a predictable stance, yet undefendable.
While it is true that many crimes and attacks are conducted by criminals who rarely have registered firearms, it is also true that countries enacting or sustaining sensible and restrictive gun laws experience far fewer shootings and deaths than those that embrace the reckless right to bear arms such as our friends in the U.S.A.
Military style automatic and semi-automatic weapons are designed and intended to kill as many people as possible in as short a time as possible.
Handguns, useless for hunting, are very effective for shooting holes in people.
Safely stored hunting rifles owned by responsible users are not the same as weapons soley designed to shoot and kill people.
Cheap shots at our elected federal MP Alistair MacGregor, who stands prepared to safeguard citizens against the growing threat of inappropriate weapons, are little more than shallow and irresponsible right wing talking points demonstrating a callous disregard for our safety and freedoms.
