To the editor;

Barriere Secondary is in the process of completing our five year growth plan.

As a staff, we would like to see students taking control of their own learning and making choices not just in what, but how they learn particular content and skills in all courses through Inquiry Based and Project Based Learning.

Our staff believe that by establishing a common language and high expectations for our students, we will create learners who are problem solvers, and are self-driven risk takers who ask questions that are linked to higher order thinking.

We are looking for input from our stakeholders (parents, community members and businesses) within the school catchment area. We have posted a survey on our school website www.barrsec.sd73.bc.ca or you could respond using the QR code posted below.

Please fill out the survey prior to April 17, 2017.

Please contact Principal Ken Rife at Barriere Secondary School if you have any questions. 250 672 9943.
