Beefs and Bouquets for Aug. 19

BOUQUET: My dog and I are currently living in my car and had a huge scare recently that resulted in my dog needing to see a vet. Not only did Waves Vet in Langford take excellent care of my little man, but one of the employees paid for his entire treatment. To say I am grateful is putting it mildly. I am still in shock but so happy that my doggo is on the mend and able to chase flies and cover me in kisses for another day.

BEEF: I am so disappointed in the number of people out walking and running their dogs with no water for them. It’s bad enough in our normal temperatures but in this heat it can be deadly! If it is too hot for your bare feet on the pavement it is too hot for your dog’s feet. Please take water with you for your animal.

BOUQUET: A big thanks to Cole at Fountain Tire in Langford for having such a friendly attitude and for being so accommodating. It makes doing business with them a pleasure!

BEEF: I have been living in Langford for the past three years. Last year I moved to Orono Avenue where there has been constant early construction noise. I work shift jobs and am also studying so I need a quiet environment. There is new construction all the time. What disturbs me the most is the early morning noise at 7 a.m. even on weekends. This really affects my productivity for the rest of the day and I’m sure it does other Langford residents as well. I am surprised that council is permitting so many developments without proper planning. I agree these developments will make the city better but it just gets to be too much sometimes.
