BOUQUET: To all the kids getting ready to go back to school. The return to school will look a lot different this year, but after a very long spring and summer break we stand behind you and know that you will all do well in these unprecedented times!
BEEF: To the man driving his truck and towing a race car south on the Malahat last Thursday afternoon, I need to tell you that as much as you would like, it is NOT an extension of the Western Speedway for your amusement and race practice. I finally caught up with you on Millstream Road, as you predictably turned right into the Speedway entry.
BEEF: To the teenager who slashed car tires while walking with his five friends after leaving Circle K Saturday night at 11:20 p.m. You have been caught by three separate video camera sets which have been viewed by the RCMP. We hope to be there when the RCMP knocks on your door asking to talk with your proud parents. Get your excuses ready, we’ll be seeking compensation.
BEEF: I’m always more than happy to support our local businesses, especially in this difficult COVID era. However, travelling to a business in Victoria to find a notice telling me that there is an automatic 12 per cent gratuity did not impress me, considering I just asked for a bottle of pop. It seems all prices have been increased!
BEEF: To the lady in the white convertible. Yes we know you are proud of your car, but when you take up two parking spots so close to the mall entrance no one cares what you drive. Go angle your car across the parking lot away from the mall if that’s what you need to do.
BOUQUET: To Royal Bay for the great outdoor cinema that happened this weekend. The kids enjoyed it so much and it brought me back to the days of drive-in movie theatres.
BEEF: Regarding the spandex-wearing cyclists riding on the Galloping Goose! Can we find a way to ticket these cyclists that feel they own the whole trail and speed by so fast that if you don’t get out of the way, they will run you over? I thought these trails were for everyone. So much disrespect from most of these cyclists, no wonder they give riders a bad name!
BOUQUET: To the gentleman in the tractor cutting the grass along the roads in Metchosin. Thank you and great job.
