A huge bouquet for Dr. Elizabeth Hay and her staff who go above and beyond the call of duty for their patients. They are angels of gentleness and patience.

Many bouquets of fragrant sweetpeas to Linda, Jane, Arlene, Gerry, Marian, Anne and Thrifty Foods for generously donating their time and the turkeys for the Kidney Foundation’s Christmas gathering.

A huge bouquet for the amazing people on my paper route in South Nanaimo. Your kindness and generosity is appreciated. From Marie (and my helpers Amber and Grace).

A melodically musical Christmas bouquet to Nanaimo North Town Centre for hosting the Wellington Band’s gift wrap service for the past eight years. Thank you for supporting the musical endeavours of our students.

A lavishly bountiful bouquet to the north end London Drugs, Central Drugs on Bowen Road and Shoppers Drug Mart and Save-On-Foods in Country Club mall for your generous donations in support of the Wellington Band’s gift wrap service at Nanaimo North Town Centre. We couldn’t have done it without you.

A bouquet of sweet smelling snowdrops to Toby Gorman and Mitch Wright of the Nanaimo News Bulletin. You guys have your hearts and priorities in the right place and make this paper a worthy read.

An elegantly wrapped bouquet of presents to the patrons of the Wellington Band’s gift wrap service at Nanaimo North Town Centre. Thank you for your continued support.

A white carnation bouquet to the lovely couple who stopped to help my husband and I on Millstone Avenue with the older lady who was passed out in the middle of the road in the pouring rain. You provided towels and an umbrella. Thank you for being such a help. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch your names to return the umbrella to you.

A big bouquet of roses to Heather and all the girls from TD Canada Trust who started volunteering at Serenity Lodge in December. Your generosity and friendliness is much appreciated by all the residents and staff.

A twinkling white lights bouquet to the city for decorating downtown so beautifully. The downtown looked magical – like a starry night.

A bouquet of thank yous to all who cherish this amazing and beautiful planet that sustains us and all the other creatures we share this web of life with.

A healthy, happy New Year to Ron and Carol Nadeau for putting on an open house over the holidays that would have made Martha Stewart proud. It must have been a lot of work – and expensive.

A big bouquet to Grant at Coastline Electric. I really appreciate the way you handled my concerns.

a pink Bouquet of thank yous to the kind mom and her young daughter riding their bikes with their dog on the Parkway Trail recently for helping my husband and I catch our young pup after she had slipped her collar. It was a very frightening ordeal for us and we were so upset, we forgot to get their names.

A very special thank you bouquet about Nanaimo’s Christmas Hamper program. My spouse and I were in need of some help and it was great to have food for the holidays.

A bouquet of thank yous to Janet for taking me to get a food hamper and a Good Food Box. Good friends are to keep for a long time.

a big bouquet of Christmas roses to all of Volunteer Nanaimo’s Christmas Angels. These wonderful people helped more than 45 families in Nanaimo, making everyone’s holiday more joyful.

A heartfelt bouquet to Dr. Wolanski for the wonderful care you gave to my dad on New Year’s Day. You went above and beyond and renewed my faith in people.

A large bouquet to Kathy’s Cat Care. We boarded our senior cat there for 17 days over Christmas. Kathy is so compassionate about her cats and I knew he was in good hands. He did not want to budge from his suite when we picked him up! This is a first-rate facility and we will bring him back.

A huge bouquet to Diana at Diana’s Garden Centre. The Christmas tree we got from you was so fresh that it barely lost any needles during the time we had it up. You are so friendly and knowledgeable and your products are always high quality.

A big thank you to all who made the Randerson Ridge Craft Fair a huge success: Quality Foods, Canadian Tire, Hornby’s Canopy, Wal-Mart, Sysco, Signs Now and all the parent volunteers and crafters.

A lovely bouquet of high fives to Core Essentials fitness studio for their complimentary Turkey Burner Bootcamp over the holidays. Such a win-win – many calories burned and a trunkload of food collected for the Salvation Army. Thank you David, Sarah and Karla for keeping us on the move.

A Happy 13th Birthday Bouquet to our beautiful daughter Madison on Jan. 11. We can’t believe that you are 13 already. You are such a blessing to our family, bringing love and happiness, humour and wisdom. We will like you forever and love you always.

A huge thank you bouquet to Liam at Kelsey’s restaurant. You really show you care about the clientele, it’s not just lip service. The food and service are both excellent already, but you kick it up a notch.

A huge bouquet to the staff at Bollywood North Restaurant for their friendly service and excellent food.

A bouquet of gratitude to the dedicated problem solvers at Intraworks I.T. Management. Their due diligence in resolving a certain non-profit society’s recent software challenges is appreciated. Kudos as well to those who are helping us with the intricacies of domain name transfer.

A chilly beef to a local furnace repair company. When I called about a heat pump not working, I was told to call back in an hour. When I called back, they were closed for the holidays.

a reminder beef to some drivers. Please stop and look to your right before making a right hand turn. I almost got hit four times in one day on my four-wheel scooter. Thanks to the drivers who wait and give you time to cross the road.

An unfortunate beef to the family that placed a third child in the bottom of their two-seater baby stroller, where there is only room for blankets or diapers. The stroller’s seats were filled already and the third child’s body was badly contorted – all you could see was his little head sticking out trying to see where he was.

a bad karma beef to businesses that are trying to profit off people’s New Year’s resolutions. I’m sick of all the advertisements promising weight loss, financial stability, etc. January is just another month – who makes resolutions anymore?

A crusty beef to the major grocery store that sold me a loaf of bread that went mouldy within days, but wouldn’t allow me to exchange it for a fresh loaf. Bad business and I won’t be back.
