BOUQUET: To BC Ambulance paramedics Mark and Miguel, and off duty RCMP Kyle. I had collapsed in the driveway on June 3 and could not move. Kyle called for help and walked Bishop, my Lab. Mark and Miguel, just as smooth as butter and complete professionals, had me secured, comfortable and smoothly on my way to hospital. Ligaments torn off bone in knee. Thanks also to Victoria General emergency staff for listening to me moaning and groaning. You are all to be commended. All so very professional.
BEEF: To Colwood council. How do you choose which surveys are to be honoured and which you do not? We had a clear majority, 55%, of Colwood residents wanting Ocean Boulevard opening and you canned it. Now you are posing for the photographer at Royal Beach because 70% voted in favour of a ferry landing there.
BOUQUET: To the wonderful people who came to my assistance after a mishap on Sooke Road I had near East Sooke turnoff. Thank you so much for your concern and help. I was so happy to see that people take the time to attend someone in need. Judging by the people I have met in Sooke, I’m not surprised.
BEEF: To the City of Colwood Council supporting food trucks on Ocean Boulevard but not supplying recycle containers. Voting citizens thought one of council’s mandates was to support climate change.
BEEF: To the person who scraped the back side of my car while I was shopping. It was the red Mazda. You know you felt it because you left behind a lot of scrapes on my car. I hope the guilt eats away at you.
BOUQUET: I would like to say “thank you” to the young man (green hair, probably with his father) in Costco parking lot who asked if I needed any assistance loading my purchases. I didn’t but I certainly appreciated the offer.
BOUQUET: to Alpine Disposal (Brian?) for assisting me at Alpine this weekend. He helped unload my truck and separate some of my refuse. Very polite and well spoken. Great customer service from this young man, Thank you!

BEEF: To the young driver at the intersection of Veteran’s Memorial and Goldstream. What does it take for you to stay off your phone. Even if the light is red, it is still not a good time to start texting on your phone and holding up traffic when the light turns green. BOUQUET: To the polite gentleman on the Galloping Goose trail by Glen Lake and Saturday afternoon. Thank you for assisting me and picking up my bag of items that dropped and went all over the place. With three kids in tow it’s always nice to have a helping hand.
BOUQUET: To all the city workers who are keeping our parks clean. Now that our parks are open in the WestShore it’s great to have them tidy and ready for all the kids to play. Thank you city workers. I know it’s not an easy job and may not be the most rewarding picking up other people’s garbage and doggy poop bags, but me and my family appreciate you soooo much! Happy to have the parks back!
