Beef to the liquor store for towing the car of a man who had a heart attack in the store and passed away. His wife asked if the car was OK in the lot until she could get it the next day and was told yes.

BOUQUET To the couple who stopped to help us get our Jeep out of the snow on Gilfillan Road. It was wet with snow and rain and you stayed and helped until we were clear despite getting soaked and covered in wet snow from my spinning tires while you pushed.

BEEF To the propane tanker on Nanaimo Parkway with his yellow beacon flasher on. That beacon is only to be used at industrial and commercial sites and or during delivery.

BOUQUET To Hank. Thank you so much for helping rescue my beagle, Molson, who was trapped on a ledge. Also to anonymous voice from below that yelled up where to look.

BEEF To the person who said retail workers do not have anything to complain about. We are verbally abused, physically threatened, have shoplifters who carry knives and scissors that they use to steal with or threaten with because they cannot or will not get their way.

BOUQUET To the very kind couple who helped a very anxious person down the stairs at Sway’ a’ Lana Lagoon. That was very kind and compassionate.

BEEF To the beefer about the security light. I did not realize it was that bad, but hiding behind a newspaper beef shows character, rather than talking about it face to face.

BOUQUET To the beauties who work tirelessly everyday answering the negative complaints all day long at public works. I thank you very much for all your patience.

BEEF To the cop cars at University Village, some circling looking for parking. When I got back to my vehicle, cop car running and unattended. Latter is definetely ticketable, never mind the cost and pollution.

BOUQUET To  Mid Island Collision Centre for complete and professional repairs to vehicle damaged by others. Also to Ralph for his courtesy and for being kind and  helpful in other non-related problems.

BEEF Has everyone forgotten we’ve hardly had any kind of winter snow in the past 10 years? Come on, everyone.

BOUQUET To the Wallace Driving School, which so generously donated lessons to a Syrian newcomer. Being able to drive in Canada will allow him more job opportunities and independence in the future.

BEEF To the lady who beefed about the bus not waiting for her and her family. The bus is not a taxi and runs on a schedule. When people like you hold up the bus, I miss my connection and get to work late.

BOUQUET To all the amazing staff who makes up the Bellamy family.

BEEF To the liquor store for towing the car of a man who had a heart attack in the store and passed away. His wife asked if the car was OK in the lot until she could get it the next day and was told yes.

BOUQUET Bouquets make life more pleasant than beefs. Life is too short to be petty about things. Let’s look for the sunshine in all things, instead of the rain.

BEEF To B.C.’s attorney-general, probably the weakest one this province has ever seen. Not enough sheriffs or judges to hold court.

BOUQUET My car wouldn’t make it up Departure Bay hill during the snowstorm so a kind gentleman in a neon vest stopped traffic to ask drivers if they would drive a nurse to work. Thank you to the couple who did.

BEEF To the beefer who purchased lilies for their intimate wedding and blamed the worker for ruining their special day by “not giving away their trade secret.” We pay to be trained and certified. She did not ruin your special day – you did, by being so cheap.

BOUQUET To the very nice gentleman who helped me get my van back on the road after I got stuck in snow and ice at the side of Nanaimo Lakes Road without a phone or shovel.

BEEF To the new store that hired a cashier who scowls at every customer before she deigns to serve them. It makes a poor first impression for a new business.

BOUQUET To my very great friend Wayne for all of his help with shovelling my large driveway and my back deck. Also all the repairs on my house and car.

BOUQUET To my son, who cleared my driveway and the driveways of three of my neighbours. Thank you very much, Gary.

BOUQUET To the lady in the white car who helped me when I had a hard fall on Brookwood Drive. This senior very much appreciates your kindness and concern.

BOUQUET To Jeff at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital imaging department for the professional and caring way you did my colonography. You made it painless and stress-free.

BOUQUET To the kind women outside Ladysmith thrift store who saw the desk my fiancé bought did not fit into my car. They were travelling to Chemainus, not toward the Cassidy area.

BOUQUET To the people or person who found my purse at Country Grocer on Valentine’s Day and turned it in. I am a senior on a fixed income so this good deed meant very, very much to me.

BOUQUET To Jesus for making this lonely widow’s heart sing for joy with the best Valentine’s gift ever: a new fiancé.

BOUQUET To the kind gentleman who helped me get up when I slipped and fell on ice  outside of the Windward Pub. I couldn’t have gotten up without your help. Your kindness will not be forgotten.

BOUQUET To Jorg Bischoff of Nanaimo Shoe Repair. He is a very talented and skilled man with leather, shoes, handbags and other items. As well, he is more than fair with his prices.
