Bell ringers shouldn’t stand in the cold

Bah humbug at the Liquor Store.

I was shocked to see the bell ringers for the Salvation Army kettles had to stand outside the Liquor Store.

Apparently Scrooge is still alive and well in Williams Lake. This creates two situations, one is safety from being robbed and the other is personal health.

If you stand on cold concrete for a two-hour shift, you get quite chilled through your feet. The liquor store is a big benefactor of Christmas spending.

Maybe they could make a concession for the benefit of the misfortunate who benefit from the Salvation Army.
