The Stickle Road issue has been drawn out in your publication for months.
Of late, I was pleased to see some letters from individuals prepared to look at the bigger picture surrounding the needs of the travelling public and safety issues of today and the future.
A recent letter has asked for a second look by the premier. Any further looks at this point would be well beyond a second look.
Furthermore, I have seen no evidence that the general public is against the compromise solution that has been arrived at. Negative comments have been primarily from a relatively small group of locals rather than the reported 25,000 daily users of the route.
I suggest we trust those trained to deal with traffic requirements will best handle the flow and safety issues surrounding Stickle Road and quit blaming the local MLA and mayor.
