Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park is used by many that enjoy nature and serenity.
The rail trail is also being enjoyed.
In our busy world, these areas are set aside so we can enjoy what nature gives us.
The sound of songbirds and the breeze through trees is amazing.
Or I should say would be if incredibly loud motor boats, often with blaring loud music, didn’t totally disrupt everything, including the shorelines with wakes so destructive paddle boards, kayaks and canoes go into fear mode. Shorelines are disrupted as well.
I vision and propose Okanagan Lake be designated for these boaters and Kalamalka Lake for the vast majority who prefer peace to engines and loud music.
