Booze the problem

How sad that young families come to an event such as the Stanley Cup and have their lives put at risk.

The blame for all this damage, not only to property and people, but to the reputation of BC, points right to Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson. I believe that selling beer and making money is more important to you than the safety of your citizens. Tell me why, at any function taking place in Vancouver or anywhere else in BC, gallons of beer has to be sold? Money.

How sad that young families come to an event such as the Stanley Cup and have their lives put at risk.

I believe you and your council decided to cut back on the enforcement budget and now the people of Vancouver will have to pay millions in damage. It’s time BC stopped allowing pubs to stay open until 4 a.m. We have the reputation of consuming the most alcohol in all of Canada.

No alcohol should ever be served at any public event where families or young people attend. Close pubs at midnight.
