To the editor:
Perhaps it is a measure of the ‘quality’ of our political representation. I feel forced to observe that on Google TV news Adrian Dix was interviewed on the Kelowna waterfront, not even in the (Westside-Kelowna) riding.
Christy Clark was at least in the right place as she was strolling through Quail’s Gate winery (owned by the incumbent). But she then stated that she would come to Kelowna (not West Kelowna ) as much as possible to give proper representation if elected.
I hope that someone has advised her that Kelowna and West Kelowna are not all one riding.
In general, it is customary in these (byelection) circumstances, for other parties to not field candidates so that she gets the seat by acclamation—saves considerable time and money and, most importantly, the other parties show that they actually have some class.
