CCS looking forward to a busy 2013

Canadian Cancer Society, Quesnel branch thanked everyone for supporting them in 2012 and hopes for similar support in 2013

Happy New Year everyone! Big thanks to everyone who came by the Farmers’ Christmas Market and bought cakes, truffles and cookies in support for the Canadian Cancer Society.

It was truly appreciated and we could not do it without everyone’s support.

Everyone at the Canadian Cancer Society would also like to give thanks to all the volunteers and everyone who booked for Rent-A-Santa.We raised over $1,500.

Some important events coming up are Relay for Life and the Daffodil Campaign. If you would like to get involved, contact our office at 250-992-6551 or drop by Monday – Friday from

11 a.m. – 3 p.m. to pick up a volunteer form.

The Canadian Cancer Society strongly encourages individuals to take on challenges and empower and support the cause.

If you are looking for work experience, the organization can help you win in the long term by providing individuals with experience which they can bring back to their jobs.

This is not about money, this organization is about leaving a positive footprint along the way.

Volunteering for the Canadian Cancer Society is very fulfilling and eye-opening.

To know that I play even the simplest role in making a difference in people’s lives is very gratifying. People come before profits and we are not merely here to make a living.

You are here to enrich the world; volunteering is not just about giving what you have, but giving who you are.

We are always looking for more support and people who want to get involved. Please contact our office if you are interested.

You have to make your mark somewhere, why not start here?
