Celebrity pay should be included in talk of wealth

Letter to the editor on how discussion about wealth is too focused on business people, and not high-paid celebrities

Why is it when we talk about wealth and taxes, CEOs, shareholders and very successful business people are always in the crosshairs?

What about wealthy actors and talk show hosts, professional athletes, rock and pop stars and the like? Why no mention of them, when many of them have earnings and wealth that far exceed those business people mentioned above?

Do they all deserve what they make? Is it fair?

The one thing I think that can be said about all of them, though, is they don’t know what a 40-hour work week is, and they all generate a lot of wealth for others. With that comes a lot of responsibility.
