Citizen’s kindness appreciated

I wanted to write to your paper because of one of your outstanding citizens who helped me, a complete stranger, in my time of need.

My sister, Donna Harvey, lives in Castlegar and I was up visiting her last week. We went to a local eatery and she later became violently ill. I had to call 911 and the ambulance took her to Trail.

When I followed in my car I didn’t know where the hospital was only that it was by the 7 Eleven. I ran into the store asking for directions. I said I was from out of town and need directions.

Well much to my surprise a woman spoke up and said, “I’ll take you there just follow me.”

She lead me to the hospital; told me where to park and with a wave took off expecting nothing in return.

I was amazed.

I’m a city dweller and doubt that would happen here in Abbotsford.

I wish there was some way I could thank her for her kindness. I prayed that something really wonderful happen for her.

Perhaps if you print this she will know how deeply I appreciated her help. She knows who she is.

Thank you
