There seems to have been a continuous stream of road work along 152 Street in South Surrey. On my last trip, I counted 35 trenches dug and filled in from 20 to 24 Avenues. Almost all have not been finished well.
Driving north along this major arterial route is like a trip on a roller-coaster because of the low quality of the final fill-in.
It’s a pity the city’s engineering department could not supervise this work before signing off on completion. Or are we seeing another abdication of responsibility by government to regulate the private sector, particularly its own sub-contractors?
If Surrey cannot supervise its own road work, is it too much to expect they will resurface this whole section when allthe work is complete?
