Club grateful for support

Kinette Club of Penticton raised more than $2,200 at second annual Rubber Ducky Race

Club grateful for support

The Kinette Club of Penticton would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who purchased tickets and supported our second annual Rubber Ducky Race to raise funds for the Pediatric Ward of the Penticton Regional Hospital.

More than $2,200 was raised through the event.

We also wish to extend a special thank you to the following, without whose help this event could not have achieved such great results:

The Penticton Indian Band for allowing us to use the river channel; The Ramada Inn and Suites, Kettle Valley Station Pub, Landmark Cinemas — Penmar Cinema Centre and The Bike Barn for their generous donation of prizes; kayakers Teri Phelps and Coleby Curnow Phelps who volunteered to help gather the ducks at the finish line, Randy Kirkoski who took photos of the event and Mayor Dan Ashton and Coun. Wes Hopkin, who took time out of their busy schedules to help launch the ducks.

The winning ducks were #475 – ticket purchased by Janice Perrino (who generously donated her winnings to the Penticton Regional Hospital Pediatric Ward); #748 Beth Thurston and #150 Shane Gresl. Congratulations to the winners.

The Kin Canada motto is “Serving Our Communities Greatest Needs” and thanks to this incredible support, we were once again able to do just that.
