CMHA doing a very difficult, unpopular job

Thank you CMHA for providing much needed services to our community.

You have taken on very difficult and unpopular tasks to try and help those in need of our compassion. You have willingly made yourself a target for those in our Valley who live in fear. Those that you serve remind us of how we could be without a home tomorrow if we become ill, lose our job, lose the breadwinner in our family. Too easy to point fingers, blame, focus our fears on one of the organizations who have the courage to try and help.

It is very frustrating that there is no black or white answer to the poison drug crisis and our COVID crisis. These problems have no simple answers, the solutions are very complex, requiring many organizations and governments working together, which our community is thankfully trying very hard to do.

I take personal offence to the vilification of CMHA. The audited financial report of 2018-19 and the Annual Report that list the programs are on their website under About Us, under Reports and a new audit is being done for the 2019-20 now. Please do your homework before you make accusations and be thankful that there are those who want to be part of the solution not the problem.
