Mother’s Day is this weekend and I hope you do something nice for your Mom, like cooking her a tasty meal.
Mothers do not get enough recognition for all the hard work they do and their dedication to family.
I think we should love our mothers as much as they love us.
No matter how old my mother was, she would always be watching me for signs of improvement, wondering what I was going to be when I grew up.
Here’s a recipe the family can do for mom on Sunday.
Someone can put together the sauce and someone can look after the cooking, then get somebody to set the dining room table, add a few candles, perhaps some flowers, and make sure you clean up after dinner.
Really treat your mom to the best on Mother’s Day.
She deserves it, after all, being a mother is one of the toughest jobs in the world.
Perhaps for Mother’s Day this year you may like to cook your mom a real good down to earth chicken dinner.
Moms always like chicken don’t they?
Baked Chicken Recipe for Mom
• 3 pound chicken, cut up
• 1 tbsp all purpose flour
• 1/4 cup water
• 1/4 cup ketchup
• 2 tbsp white vinegar
• 2 tbsp lemon juice
• 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
• 1 small onion chopped
• 1 tsp ground mustard
• 1 tsp chili powder
• 1 tsp paprika
• Salt and pepper to taste
Put chicken in a greased tin foil baking dish.
Whisk together flour and water in a saucepan until smooth.
Add brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce.
Stir until it begins to boil and continue until its thick, about three more minutes.
Then put in onion, mustard, paprika, chili powder, salt and pepper.
Mix and then pour sauce over chicken and refrigerate for 2 to four hours.
You can cook this in the oven or on the barbecue at 350 degrees for about 30 to 40 minutes.
Good for four people.
Treat your mom nice on Mother’s Day and throughout the year.
Mothers are indeed the soul of the earth.
Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers.
Bless You.
Bye for now and Goood Cooking!
