I find Frank Horner’s comments in his recent letter to the editor (The News, Sept. 18) about the Qualicum Beach development debate absurd and even insulting.
Over the last 12 years, the town of has had fewer construction dollars spent per capita than any other municipality on Vancouver Island with the exception of Port Hardy and Port McNeill.
How about staying vigilant on how we keep our young people from leaving town to raise their families in other areas of Canada?
This so-called Gang of Three that Horner refers to all ran completely independent campaigns amongst numerous candidates and were voted in, mostly by the working, business and generational families of Qualicum Beach as they themselves are.
Please try to be more respectful to the people who built this community.
