Common Threads spread the warmth

With your help, we were able to reach out to knitters and crocheters to collect over 300 scarves for our Green Heart-Warm Heart Project.

The Chilliwack Common Threads Knitting Circle thanks The Progress and journalist, Jenna Hauck, for the excellent article in the September 25 paper.

With your help, we were able to reach out to knitters and crocheters across our town to collect over 300 scarves for our Green Heart-Warm Heart Project. We met our goal of 150 scarves for Salvation Army’s Christmas Dinner and have also shared scarves, mitts and hats with Chilliwack Community Services, Ruth and Naomi Mission, Agassiz and Hope Victim Services and even Project Help Haiti.

We meet every Tuesday evening 7-9 p.m. in the Heritage Room at Carman United Church on Vedder Road in Sardis and everyone is welcome to learn knitting or share their skills. What a loving and giving community we live in. Thanks for being the catalyst for so much caring.
