Thank you Greater Vernon and area for the wonderful response to the 2014 Backpacks for the Mission campaign.
On Dec. 20, we gave away 150, filled packs at a very festive lunch at All Saints’ Anglican Church.
In addition, the Upper Room Mission will have many items to give to those in need throughout the year.
Hats off to the volunteers and congregations of All Saints Anglican, St. James Catholic, Peace Lutheran, St. John’s Lutheran, Vernon Christian Fellowship, Knox Presbyterian and the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Your generosity and energy made this event possible at very short notice.
Cheers also to Paul Hunter and Janice Third for keeping us all entertained throughout the meal.
Last, but not least, I would like to thank our gracious guests. Your appreciation was keenly felt by each and every volunteer.
