Dear editor,
My compliments for publishing Leith Stewart’s letter (Record, Jan. 9).
His letter addresses concerns that many of us have regarding the dirty St. Joe’s hospital.
We have seen the same type of scenes many times and have complained to senior staff about a filthy ward years ago. Nothing has changed.
The trained cleaning staff were let go years ago and the replacement staff are indeed pathetic.
Mr. Stewart states this is “not an unusual situation” and we concur. This hospital is more like a Third-World hospital that doesn’t have skilled workers and does not even understand the rudimentary basics of hygiene.
