I am concerned about the need to create a new plan for Island View Beach Regional Park.
I have enjoyed the park as it is for 40 years and hope to enjoy it as it is for another 40.
My concerns are flooding and reduced access as well as so-called stewardship.
I realize that First Nations enjoyed our lands without Europeans for thousands of years but that doesn’t mean I want to hand control of the park to them.
In the future I would like to see increased trails through the fields and better drainage (ditches) and dikes as required to deal with our rising sea levels.
