The hypocrisy of our school trustees is beyond belief.
School board chair Bobbi Johnson urges the parties to “negotiate a settlement that falls within the economic mandate set up by the provincial government…”
Where was this “economic mandate” when these trustees voted themselves a 20 per cent pay raise?
Where was the “economic mandate” when they supported a new, multi-million dollar school board building, a fleet of leased cars for senior staff and the retention of all nine trustee positions when much larger school districts get by with six or seven?
Time to get rid of the lot in November and elect trustees who will support and defend public education.
