Consider hiding, not wrapping gifts this Christmas

Was thinking of all the wrapping paper et al that comes with Christmas and the overflowing recycle bins that follow.

I work with School District 79 and I’ve been asking the kids if they would prefer to have their gifts hidden instead of wrapped in paper under a tree that’s shredded in a heartbeat. Most of them thought hiding the gifts was a pretty cool idea. Parents can give clues and make a game of it.

If we are to take climate change seriously, maybe this could become a trend.
