Court sentences should punish guilty, not the taxpayer

It never ceases to blow my mind at some of the ridiculous and unfair sentences handed down

To the Editor:

It never ceases to blow my mind at some of the ridiculous and unfair sentences handed down after an eternity of investigation when the event was captured live on video.

For many of the Vancouver Stanley Cup rioters it’s senseless to send them to what is rammed down the public throat – the over crowding of jails.

It would seem more reasonable instead of the public paying to shelter – clothe – feed  along with all related medical – dental  etc.supplied at public cost.

These riot morons should be free to work under probation till their percentage of  damage they caused is paid with interest.

My personal opinion  regarding the “good old boys” justice system needs to put in a full day’s work for a full day’s pay.

Night court as suggested before – would be a perfect way to process this kind of  trouble where  many good youth momentarily lost it.

I will never believe those that keep chewing the cabbage over and over again – year in – year out as in the Air India disaster – Robert Picton ongoing enquiry and the Robert Diezanski video death at the Vancouver airport and the list goes on and on.

All of the above keep money rolling into the wallets of those who we know who – the  many who think they are mightier than God.

It must be nice to be afforded the luxury of being above the very law they bend for a friend  making truck scales far more equally balanced and accurate when weighing a truck-load of poop against the failed scales weighing the fat butt of justice ?
