Despard danger

While working in our mobile home park, we heard a loud smashing sound and knew immediately it was another accident at Craig and Despard.

On Saturday morning while working with a neighbour in our mobile home park, we heard a loud smashing sound and knew immediately it was another accident at Craig and Despard.

This was just another horrific reminder that a child had died at the corner (in 2009) and nothing has been done. A few speeders have lost control and either smashed through our perimeter fence barely missing a unit or hit the curb, gone spinning, plowing ruts, hitting a tree and nothing has been done.

We have witnessed many drivers and even saw police officers barely slow down through this four-way intersection. It has become an unchecked and dangerous speedway.

Something needs to be done.

We think a roundabout would be the best solution. Thus any car coming from any direction would be forced to slow down. Perhaps city hall could attend to this matter before more accidents occur. Or another death.
