Editor: Regarding the school funding issue, as noted by Councillor Michelle Sparrow and your editorial in The Times (Oct. 7), it strikes me that a large part of the problem is the developers. They build houses, people with children come to live in them, and swell the population.
So if the developers are to “blame,” perhaps the onus lies on them to provide adequate schools for the people they’re attracting. This would take the pressure off both the provincial government and the school board. Have the builders build a school in each new neighbourhood as part of the approval process.
