On a wintery Sunday
Sunny and fair
Took the dog to Kal Park
To enjoy the beauty and fresh air.
We started out on the trail
Only to view
Several piles of…
doggy poo.
“No poop bags available”
Sympathetic dog owners may say
Alas, not in this case
‘Twas a dispenser ten feet away!
In dog parks, on ski trails and sidewalks
With my furry friend
We are sorry to report
We have seen the same trend.
Now indeed it is winter
Poop freezes, it’s true
But we do have four seasons
And spring thaw brings
Dog poo stew: Pee-yew
Love dogs dearly, they are awesome
And most owners are too
Have fun with your canine friends
And please pick up your dog’s poo
