Don’t abuse the Howe Creek Trail

I’m writing this letter to vent my total disgust in the way some people seem to think “out of sight, out of mind.”

Dear Sir:

I’m writing this letter to vent my total disgust in the way some people seem to think “out of sight, out of mind.”

I’m talking about the total disregard for nature by some who use the Howe Creek Trail.

Some homeowners backing onto Howe Creek think that it is a dumping ground for grass clippings, tree branches, dirt and gravel and ashes from a burning pit.

Also, kids who take various foods and juices to a certain spot to do whatever and then leave their garbage behind.

Also in the last little while someone thinks it is a good place to ride motorized dirt bikes.

The result is that a riding trail has been made connecting the trail along Howe Creek to the trail connecting to the top of Lanfear Hill.

Howe Creek Trail is a relaxing walk while watching birds and squirrels and the seasonal changes.

A lot of work has been put into making and maintaining what the trail has become today.

Let’s do our part to keep it this way.
