Editor: This is a response to your online article online of Oct. 4 titled “Nominations next step in Township election,” and the accompanying photo. I want to ask Township Mayor Rick Green this: How are you spending my money?
I want to know if the use of council chambers was paid for. Even if it was, it is certainly not appropriate to use it to imply support.
The photo looks more like an official swearing-in ceremony rather than the filing of nomination papers. The vote is not until Nov. 19.
This is highly inappropriate in a democracy. The mayor does not get to pick the councillors.
