I watched with great interest recently as Elizabeth May stood in the House of Commons and summarized the only rational approach to the mess in Iraq. Bombs don’t solve anything. For every person that is killed by one of our air strikes there will be a son, a father, and/or a brother that will learn to hate. It stands to reason that this plays directly into the hands of a terrorist group. They are baiting world leaders.
Unless we learn from the mistakes of the past we are doomed to repeat them.
