I want to laud editor John Harding for his hard-hitting defense of a washed up American baseball player in a recent editorial.
It’s encouraging to see him focusing his laser-like wit on an issue that has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on this area of Vancouver Island — or even on Canada.
In this way, he limits the damage done by his facile and warped analysis.
Rather than coming across like a war-mongering chickenhawk, as in his latest editorial, he manifests a more nuanced persona — out of touch and irrelevant.
Well done Harding. Have you considered delving into the price of tea in China?
