Thank you to Rick Siemens, Cori Doorman and all of the Swan Lake area neighbours who clean up the garbage left behind by some winter users.
On behalf of the Vernon Rowing and Dragon Boat Club, we want to acknowledge your caring stewardship of this precious resource.
Over the course of a season, our club may have upwards of 250 people enjoying this idyllic setting and we often hear from visitors that Swan Lake is one of the best rowing venues in all of Canada.
We know we are fortunate to share Swan Lake with people fishing, water-skiers, kayakers and tourists, as well as turtles, muskrats and many birds, but we didn’t know about the residents working to make the lake safe for all of us.
Thank you for all of your efforts to preserve this local treasure.
