Enough already with issue of garbage pickup

Maple Ridge councillor should focus on other issues and not try to make an issue where there is none

Editor, The News:

Reference is made to the article, “Council moves ahead with election law,” (The News, July 9).

Once again, Coun. Corisa Bell is advancing her issue with regards to garbage collection in Maple Ridge.

It is somewhat annoying that Coun. Bell keeps trying to make this an issue where there is none.

Having lived as a property owner in Maple Ridge, we have always been able to either take our garbage to a collection point or engage the services of a private garbage disposal company.

This is the case today. So why would we need municipal garbage services with most likely no opting out and a far higher cost? Perhaps it would be better if other issues received more attention from Coun. Bell.
