To the Editor,
I read the list of properties not being charged tax with interest.
As long as there is not taxpayer subsidization of the organization or business, nor profits generated for personal gain, then I can see the worthiness of this decision.
However, several organizations popped up that get money from the city for operations and then get a further bonus in no tax on their property.
Is this fair? To make it fair, the city should make sure that no taxable property is in arrears and make all effort to get the money owing. Then some of the tax exemptions will be easier to swallow.
