Firefighters’ effort appreciated

108 Volunteer firefighters appreciated by Cache Creek resident

To the editor:

I want to thank the 108 volunteer firefighters for their quick response at 4 a.m. on Jan. 21 to save my burning car.

By the time they arrived, the engine was engulfed in a huge fire – a ball of flames. Equally scary, my friend’s home was in danger of catching fire due to the close proximity of my burning car.

The family dog, Percy, was also a hero. He woke up my friend whose bedroom was next to the burning car.

We are safe and sound due to the quick response of everybody.

Again, thank all who helped us during this crisis.
