Re: Sniff of the season, April 5.
The large front-page photo of the American bulldog wandering in a bed of daffodils in Maffeo-Sutton Park is rather strange.
For one thing, this is not an off-leash park. For another, the dog may be sniffing some of the flowers, but it is also clearly trampling others.
I suppose the picture was supposed to be cute, but what it really does is to endorse irresponsible dog ownership.
