Get back more money, vote yes to scrap HST

I want to address the illegal bribe (and yes it is illegal according to the Referendum Act) that the BC Liberals have placed before the public.

I want to address the illegal bribe (and yes it is illegal according to the Referendum Act) that the BC Liberals have placed before the public.

For a one-time payment of $175 per child under the age of 18, the BC Liberals want you to continue to pay extra on the following:

Taxis, parking, dry cleaning, vitamins, massage therapy, over-the-counter medications, newspaper and magazine subscriptions, bicycles, safety helmets, camping sites, shoe repair, some school supplies, snack foods, haircuts, manicures and pedicures, tailoring, landscaping, accounting, veterinarian visits, computer and appliance repairs — even wedding planners and your own funeral will cost seven per cent more! And the list continues … TV cable bills, strata fees, renovations, phone bills and eating out.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, for a one-time payment, the BC Liberals will get their money (or should I say our money) back and a whole lot more just to give it to businesses that are not obligated to keep it in B.C.

I know that this illegal bribe is tempting to those who are on low incomes but please realize that this is no gift.

Do yourselves a favour and get back more of your money (legally that is) by scrapping the HST and voting “Yes” to the referendum question.
