GMO comes with consequences

Our health, since inception of GMOs in the 1990s, has degenerated at a pace consistent with the advancement and pervasiveness of GMO.

To the Editor,

Re: Genetically modified crops safe, sustainable, Letters, Sept. 5.

I am curious. Is Robert Wager a spokesman for the GMO consortium of Monsanto and company?

I would love to know if he is also in favour of hiding the GMO ingredients so pervasive in our foods, by discounting the value of GMO labelling.

Wager fails to mention GMO is no longer welcome in Europe and that U.S.A. and Canada are the only two developed nations which do not have GMO labelling on food products.

He fails to mention the plundering of South America and devastation of forests, to grow GMO crops. He doesn’t mention the consequences of breathing RoundUp. He doesn’t mention the buildup of glyphosate in the environment from a toxic herbicide building up in the soil and leaching into our water ways and our ground water.

All he does mention is the buy words of the consortium, mere spin, misinformation and mythinformation.

Our health, since inception of GMOs in the 1990s, has degenerated at a pace consistent with the advancement and pervasiveness of GMO in every avenue of the food production on the planet.

It is time to start listening and learning from educators without prejudice and not on the payrolls of the GMO agenda and their lobbyists.
