Golden Angel helps out

Dear Editor,

Our son, Adam, and a friend recently went on a 4-day ski weekend, which included two days at Kicking Horse.  On the morning of the second day (March 12th), we received a phone call from him to say that his pills had gotten wet inside his pill case in his pocket and were unusable.  His dad told him to find a pharmacy in Golden and they would contact London Drugs here in Sherwood Park where the prescriptions are filled.  Adam went to the Golden Medicine Centre and they were able to provide him with enough of the one pill to last the weekend; they didn’t carry the other prescription and he was told that he would have to go to the hospital.

So, he went to the Golden Hospital, but they didn’t have any of the other medication that he was needing.  However, they just happened to know someone that takes the same pill and they gave her a call.  This stranger brought four pills over to the hospital for Adam, and they never met.

So, to the ‘Golden Angel’ and to the nurses, doctors and pharmacists, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for your kindness.  We aren’t sure what would have happened if you hadn’t come to the rescue.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Sincerely,

~Lorne, Patti and Adam Nicoll
