Good point: fishing

Well, duh!  of course it is, but who cares? Good for them for thinking up this contest.

Why not see this contest for what it really could be for our city:

A) We win $25,000 to put towards fishing enhancement, boat ramp upgrades etc.

B) We are featured on the WFN network as the winner and receive a years worth of promotion on their network to help promote the fishing and tourism industry in Campbell River.

C) Contests like these can really bring a city together and create alot of buzz and community spirit.

The space in the paper taken up by this article could have gone to better use.

If I worked at the Mirror I would have maybe inserted something like this: yeah Campbell River lets win this! vote here www.wfnfishingtown.ca/town/campbellriver.
