Government trying to sway HST vote

We are being bombarded by ads by the B.C. Liberals and their cronies supporting the HST. The Christy Clark government said they weren’t going to try to influence the vote, but I guess they changed their minds.

Apparently one has to say “yes” to get a “no” vote for the HST. It’s hard to trust this government. A lot of money is being spent to push through the HST — big money from big wallets.

Tom Fletcher in one of his blurbs alluded to the fact that people who are against the HST are only interested in what goes into their wallets.

People who support the HST have much loftier reasons I presume.

This billion dollar bribe has huge strings attached. You have to know the government is planning to get the money back from each of us many times over.

The HST is a regressive American-style tax on necessities not luxuries, transferring money from the poor to the wealthy in the chance that some of that money will trickle down to the rest of us.

The more money you leave in ordinary peoples wallets the better the economy will move ahead. The government needs to quit spending money it doesn’t have on luxuries and quit spending money on advertising on how great they are.

Premier Clark, quit giving golden handshakes and quit selling off Crown corporations that save and even make us money at bargain prices for quick money.

Work on taxes that are fair for all of us, because if the HST gets in again we will be strapped to it forever.
