Great staff

Resident impressed with the level of service at Vernon Jubilee Hospital

Recently, I had to attend the ambulatory care department of Vernon Jubilee Hospital for a routine procedure.

All of the staff I encountered were cheerful and informative, but in particular, I enjoyed chatting with one prep nurse, Jane.

She had to put an IV in my hand, not my favourite place, but did it so painlessly and I am amazed that, two days later, there is no bruise. There’s not even a spot to indicate where she put the needle.

And the best part was she was retiring after decades of service. Her last day was the next day.

All of her co-workers were passing by and chatting about missing her and the fun they had at her farewell party.

Jane made my procedure a lot more pleasant and I really appreciated her cheerfulness and thoroughness.

So I just wanted to say to Jane, have a wonderful retirement. You certainly deserve it and thank you for everything.
