Super moon
Round of applause to the once in a lifetime, for Revelstoke because of the clouds, super wolf moon eclipse on Sunday night! What a spectacular event. I hope everybody had the chance to take it in.
New snow
It’s been far too long without new snow! For us that love winter and the activities that ensue we need a steady snowfall to have the most fun while doing these activities, weather you’re a snowboarder, skier or snowmobiler were all ready for another reset. Also if your reading this and hate winter please think of this as a hug instead of a growl, I’m sure your just glad not to be shoveling your laneway as much this past week.
Dog sitting
This one goes out to the really good friends who look after your dog while you are away or even when your just up on the mountain for a day of skiing. Thanks a lot! And even more thanks from my Doggo he loves getting a chance to get outside and rip around
Melting
Stemming from the last hug, now that snow in town has been melting a bit in town I am really noticing how few of people have been picking up after their dog’s doodoo – Even though it’s snowing and cold be sure to clean up after Rover, because when the snow disappears the poo is still there!
Skier code
This past weekend I saw someone had blown a ski off while going through some moguls. The person had ended up about 200 feet downhill from where their ski fell off. Luckily enough the next skier coming down was able to stop and grab the ski for the guy and bring it down to him. This was a great example of the “Skiers code of ethics” that someone can do for their fellow skier! Help each other out, we all know that 200 foot hike back up hill sucks. Needless to say there were many hoots and hollers from the chairlift during both the crash and the rescue. Good times!
