Harper visit to North Island shows prime minister’s true colours

Given the invitation- only visit to Campbell River, one has to speculate who our prime minister will represent if he is elected again

Given the invitation- only visit to Campbell River, one has to speculate who our prime minister will represent if he is elected again. It is clear that only those who subscribe to the Conservative worldview are likely to get access. When a prime minister grants access only to those who are YES men and women, we are trouble.

It is my hope that voters consider this behaviour in the same context as Mr. Harper’s muzzling of scientists, the “Fair Elections” Act, the Senate expense scandal, the robocalls affair, and a litany of other questionable adventures.

If we desire a higher standard our politicians should meet, I ask all voters in this riding to closely consider their vote come Oct. 19.

We have now experienced the Liberals sponsorship scandal, and the Conservatives above mentioned activities. It is time to consider other options (Disclosure: I have voted NDP).

I want to see a charter of ethics, which politicians sign on to.

This should include actions to deal with malfeasance, ethically questionable behaviour, deception, and other morally, ethically and legally questionable behaviour.
