Harsh parking rules in the City shoo away shoppers

Editor: A while back a couple of friends and I met for lunch in downtown Langley.

We were there long enough to have lunch and nothing more.

When we went to our cars each of us got a $50 parking fine. We might as well have tacked on $150 onto our lunch bill.

If downtown Langley merchants expect our business, why are the parking bylaws so harsh?

I can tell you now I am no longer going to have lunch there or shop again.
