HAVE YOUR SAY: Supporters of Brain Fair thanked

The Comox Valley FASD Community Network thanks everyone who participated in the Community Brain Fair at Simms Park.

The Comox Valley FASD Community Network and the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Key Worker thank everyone who participated in the Community Brain Fair on Sept. 8 at Simms Park. Families that attended received great information, the kids loved the activities, and service providers were able to network and build connections. We hope that this fair will grow in coming years and demonstrate how our community is a leader in promoting healthy living and healthy brain development.

Many thanks to all the generous people who helped make the new Cumberland Preschool Mason’s Centre play yard a very special place for our children! The Free Masons of Cumberland Lodge members for all the volunteer time to ready their building and yard for us. Happy Valley Excavating who donated their labour, delivering and laying soil and turf. Black Gold-top soil, Pilon Tool Rental and Hyland Precast — gravel.

A large bouquet of blessings to the members of the Presbyterian Church for consistently collecting special food items for the Salvation Army. These are wonderful additions to the emergency food hampers we hand out.
