The Oceanside Health Centre in Parksville is a joke.
I went for a walk-in visit and spent over three hours there. I left because it was still going to be an hour or two more to see anyone.
I saw countless people come and go who also never got to see anyone. They said they only had one doctor on duty and everyone would just have to wait.
One doctor? What kind of care unit is that?
I would have gone to a walk-in clinic elsewhere, but the other one in Parksville is closed?
It shouldn’t take five-six hours at a walk-in clinic. I will never go back there again. Everyone I talked to said the same thing.
Maybe someone should be looking into this because it is a huge problem. They have seemingly 9,000 support staff running around and one doctor.
